/  Theater Showcase (4 of 5): Commitment to Character

Since the last class ran over, this class will use objectives from the last one and a new one. Larger classes run longer than those with less people :-).
  • Students will build scenes with their partner using endowing scene starters, opening lines, and brainstorming possible scenarios.
  • Students will explore, build, and perform characterizations through the use of open scripts.
  • Students will choose two ways to perform an open script incorporating setting, scenery, and props.

This lesson will allow students to focus on building scenes, exploring characterization ideas, and developing two different ideas for a performance.
